Physicians:

K.S. (Koko) Khanduja, M.D.

Dr. Khanduja is a graduate of Grant Medical College, Bombay University, India. He completed his general residency in 1985 at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio and his Colon and Rectal Fellowship in 1986 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Khanduja is involved in the function of local, regional, and national surgical societies and often makes scientific presentations in his area of expertise, colorectal cancer and reconstructive anorectal surgery. He is now the Program Director at Mount Carmel for the Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship.

A. (Paddy) Padmanabhan, M.D., M.S. (Surg.)

Dr. Padmanabhan received his medical education and completed his surgical residency in India. He came to the United States in 1984 and completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He then completed his Colon and Rectal fellowship at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr Padmanabhan is Board Certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery. He was on Active Duty during Operation Desert Shield/Storm in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his work.

Mark A. Lindsey, M.D.

Dr. Lindsey attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan, the University of Michigan Biological Station in Pellston, Michigan, and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After receiving bachelor’s degrees in both chemistry and zoology, he began his studies at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, graduating in 1991. After completing the Colon and Rectal Residency program at Grant Medical Center in 1997, he entered the combined practice of Colon Rectal and General Surgery at Mount Carmel West, East, and St. Ann’s hospitals. He completed board certification in Colon Rectal Surgery in 1998 and was inducted into the fellowship of the American College of Surgeons in October 2000. In 2001 he limited his practice solely to his specialty of Colon and Rectal surgery.

Jaswant Madhavan, M.D., M.S. (Surg.)

Dr. Madhavan attended Trivandrum Medical College in Trivandrum, Kerala, graduating in 1984. He successfully completed his residency in surgery at the same institution and was awarded the degree Master of Surgery in 1989. In 1990, while in the United Kingdom, he continued his training in Surgery and was conferred the Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He then moved to Savannah, Georgia, where he entered the surgery residency program at Memorial Health University Medical Center and was Board Certified in General Surgery in 2001. Dr.Madhavan completed a residency in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio and completed Board Certification in Colon and Rectal Surgery in 2002.

Charles W. Taylor, III, M.D.

Dr. Taylor is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He completed his General Surgery Residency in 1988 at Blodgett Memorial Hospital and Saint Mary’s Health Care Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1982, he spent two months working at a missionary hospital in Bangladesh and is active in his church. Dr. Taylor completed a Colon and Rectal fellowship at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio in 1989. Dr. Taylor was in private practice in Cleveland from 1989 to 1995 and is Board Certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery.
